Member One Appoints Bruce Ermel as Vice President of Operations

Member One announced today the appointment of Bruce Ermel as Vice President of Operations with responsibility for the credit union’s contact center, products and services, insurance, and card departments.

“Bruce’s leadership and experience give him an overall understanding of how to improve member satisfaction through efficient processes,” said Steve McClure, Senior Vice President of Operations. “We are pleased to have such a strong leader.”

After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Ermel began his career in financial services by gaining experience in sales, mortgage lending, training, development, and leadership. He also worked as an international asset broker before joining Member One in 2014 as the Member Contact Center Manager.

“Member One’s main focus is to provide excellent service and products that meet our members’ needs,” said Ermel. “As we continue to grow, it’s important that we evaluate and streamline our operations and processes. I’m excited to be part of an organization that continues to strive toward operational excellence and putting members before profits.”

Ermel earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Radford University and his Master of Business Administration degree from Averett University. He is a graduate of the NAFCU Management and Leadership Institute as well as Roanoke College’s The Management Institute.
