Member One Federal Credit Union Donates $1,000 to Beans and Rice, Inc. in Pulaski, Virginia
ShareMember One recently donated $1,000 to Beans and Rice, Inc. to support its mission to improve the well-being of low- to moderate-income families in the New River Valley.
The donation was a result of Member One’s quarterly Denim Days for Charities where employees donate money in exchange for wearing jeans on a specific day.
“Member One employees are always willing to generously support critical organizations in their communities,” said Andrea Milliron, Vice President, Market Relationship Manager with Member One. “It’s a true testament to the credit union difference and our philosophy to put people before profits.”
Beans and Rice, Inc. empowers families through hunger relief, after-school programs that improve educational opportunities for at-risk children, and job creation for those who are underemployed.
“Beans and Rice, Inc. works to relieve the economic burden of low- to moderate-income families, and this generous donation from the employees at Member One puts us one step closer to reaching this goal,” said Eric Bucey, Executive Director of Beans and Rice, Inc.
