Member One is becoming Virginia Credit Union on April 20.
We’re with you through every step. Our name might be changing, but you’ll still see familiar faces. You’ll still have the same local branches. And you’ll still have a credit union that shows up for you, now with even more support behind you. See below for an overview of what’s to come.
Say hello to Virginia Credit Union!
Member One is becoming Virginia Credit Union (or VACU). We're both Virginia-based credit unions with deep local roots and a long tradition of putting members first. We believe in the same things: providing friendly, personal service; ensuring strong community connections; and helping people feel confident about their finances. That's what "We got you!" means to us at VACU.
Important System Conversion Dates
We’ve been steadily merging our two credit unions over the past year. Starting in February, you’ll see our carefully laid plans and collaboration go into action, bringing it all together under the VACU roof on April 20.
Late February – You’ll receive your first mailing from VACU, with information about the transition and your new account agreement.
March-April – You’ll receive regular emails with helpful tips to prepare you for system conversion weekend.
Around April 13 – You’ll receive another mailing from VACU with details specific to your account(s), including your new member number and account number(s).
April 17-20 – System conversion weekend. There will be temporary outages, and branches will be closed to convert to VACU.
April 21 – Branches reopen at normal hours as Virginia Credit Union. You can begin banking with VACU the way that works best for you.
We know this is a big change. But we want you to feel confident and supported. Our teams, both local and across VACU, are here for you as we move forward together. Just give us a call at 800-666-8811, or stop by your local branch.
