Merger Vote FAQ
Cast Your Ballot Back to Merger Information

We understand that you may have questions regarding our upcoming merger vote. We encourage you to review these FAQs to familiarize yourself with the process prior to the end of the voting period.

When is the voting period?
June 13, 2024 - July 30, 2024

Who is eligible to vote?
Any unique Member One member 18 or over (including business accounts) who has one share in the Credit Union is eligible to vote. Members must have been members on or before May 24, 2024.

What if I have multiple accounts, or I'm a joint owner on accounts?
Eligibility is tied to your unique Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number, so regardless of the number of accounts you have, you may only vote once. In addition, only the primary member on an account may vote.

How will I receive my ballot?
If you currently have e-Statements with us, you will receive your ballot via email. All other members will receive ballots through the United States Postal Service.

What happens if I lose my ballot?
If you lose your paper ballot, you may still cast your vote electronically via the election URL provided on this page. If you would prefer to receive a new paper ballot, you may request one by emailing us at mergerinfo@memberonefcu.com.

What is the election URL where I can cast my ballot electronically?
The election URL is www.memberonefcu.cuballot.com.

How do I identify myself to vote online?
You may either enter your account number or you may enter the unique election ID that is printed on your ballot. Your account number can be found on your membership card (Click here for a sample image) and is the last 10 digits of the share account ("savings" account) number. This number is also visible within online and mobile banking and is listed as the "MICR" number.

What if I don't vote?
Voting is completely optional. A non-vote is neither a 'yes' vote nor a 'no' vote. Only returned ballots (via mail or online) will be counted.

If I join the Credit Union during the voting period, can I vote?
No. Only members who were members of the Credit Union on or before May 24, 2024 are eligible to vote.

Is voting anonymous?
No one from either Member One Federal Credit Union or Virginia Credit Union will see any cast ballots. However, the third-party tallying the votes on our behalf (CU Ballot) will have access to member data in order to verify eligibility to vote.

When is the Special Meeting?
The Special Meeting will be held on July 30, 2024 at 6pm at the Member One Headquarters Campus, 202C 4th St NE, Roanoke, VA 24016.

When will the election results be shared?
Results will be shared at the culmination of the Special Meeting on July 30th and then as soon as possible through a press release, member notifications, and other appropriate channels.
