Member One recently announced the appointment of Chad King to the newly created position of VP Loan Operations.

King will be responsible for Member One’s loan operations and loan servicing functions. The objective of this position will be to increase member loyalty and create a retention strategy that differentiates the credit union’s loan servicing capabilities.

“Member One is dedicated to putting people before profits,” said King. “This philosophy, coupled with sound and ethical lending practices, will strengthen our position as a lending leader in our markets, with our members reaping the ultimate benefit.”

King previously served for four years as the Market Manager for Member One’s Salem retail center. His ability to motivate his team led to consistent improvements in sales and service levels during his time in Salem.

The promotion of King will bring significant value to Member One, according to Richard Socha-Mower, Director of Consumer and Real Estate Lending.

“Chad’s background in business gives him an overall understanding of how to improve member satisfaction through efficient processes,” said Socha-Mower. “We are pleased to have such a strong leader joining our Loan Operations team.”

King is a graduate of Virginia Tech and currently serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Southwest Virginia.
