Membership & Opening An Account 

Am I eligible for membership?

You may be eligible for membership if you live, work, worship, or attend school in specific areas of Virginia or if you are employed by one of our 500+ partner companies. For more information on membership or other questions, please call us at 800.666.8811.

What do I need to open a new account with Member One FCU?

To open an account, you will need to provide the following:

  • U.S. Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Physical mailing address
  • A valid form of identification (can be any of the following)
    • Driver’s license
    • State I.D.
    • Military I.D.
    • Passport

If you are not a U.S. citizen or U.S. Resident Alien and do not have this information, please visit one of our branches for assistance.

Loans

What is the minimum loan amount for which I can apply?  

The minimum loan amount is $300.

Can a joint account owner apply for a loan? 

At this time, we only offer lending services to primary members. Therefore, the primary member account holder must apply.

How do I make a payment online?

Loan payments may be made through My ONE-Branch, our online banking, or you may make payments here.

Transfers

What do I need to do if my Member-to-Member transfer is not going through?

  • To setup a new recipient in Member-to-Member transfer, go to “Move Money” in the top bar and then click on “Send money to a member.”
  • A new box will show for you to enter the details of the member to whom you’d like to transfer money:

  • Enter the name of the member you’d like to add.
  • Add the first three characters of his or her last name
  • Under Account Type, choose what type of account you’d like to transfer to under the dropdown menu:

Savings = Savings, Vacation Club, Christmas Club, Youth Accounts
Checking = Checking Accounts, Campus Advantage Accounts
Money Market
Loans = Auto Loans, Credit Cards, Lines of Credit, Home Equities, etc.

 

  • Next add the Account Suffix (numbers only, no letters):

01-Primary Savings Account
30- Checking Account
32-Campus Advantage
40-Money Market
50-Vacation Club
51-Christmas Club
52- Squirrel Club
54- Generation One

AccountSuffix

  • Then add the Recipient’s ID (Member One Account Number)
  • Click “Add Recipient” at the bottom

How Do I…

See my credit card information?

Members can access their credit card information through My ONE-Branch using the CardLink tab in the navigation menu.

Change my mailing address?

To update your mailing address online, login to My ONE-Branch and select “My Settings” at top, right-hand corner of the screen. You can also visit any of our branch locations to process this change.

Online & Mobile Access

How do I sign up for online account access (My ONE-Branch)?

Once you have joined Member One FCU as a member, a Member One employee will enroll you for My ONE-Branch and assign a temporary password for you to complete the enrollment process. After logging in with your temporary password, you will need to choose a unique user ID and password. Additional instructions for your username and password are available in My ONE-Branch. How do I manage my account on my mobile device?

You must be enrolled in My ONE-Branch to enable mobile usage. You can download our free mobile app from iTunes, Amazon or Google Play. You will need to complete a onetime passcode verification process to access your account from your mobile device.

How do I request additional account information using text message banking?

If you have signed up for text message banking, you can request information at any time by texting these commands to 454545:

How do I change my browser settings to make it easier to access online banking and skip the verification code?

If you are using Internet Explorer 9, it may be automatically deleting cookies. To change this, follow these steps.

Internet Explorer 9:

  1. On the General tab, click on TOOLS.
  2. Select INTERNET OPTIONS.
  3. Under the heading Browsing history, uncheck the ‘Delete browsing history on exit’ checkbox.
  4. Click on the PRIVACY tab.
    1. Click the “Advanced” button.
    2. Put a check mark next to “Override Automatic Cookie Handling”.
    3. Accept ‘First-party Cookies’ and ‘Third-party Cookies’.
    4. Put a check mark next to “Always Allow Session Cookies”.
    5. Click the OK button.

Internet Explorer 8:

  1. Click on TOOLS.
  2. Select INTERNET OPTIONS.
  3. Click the PRIVACY tab.
  4. Click on the ADVANCED tab.
    1. Put a check mark next to “Override Automatic Cookie Handling”.
    2. Select ACCEPT for “First-Party Cookies” and “Third Party Cookies”.
    3. Put a check mark next to “Always Allow Session Cookies”.

The site isn’t displaying correctly. I checked my Browser Test Utility and it says I’m using Internet Explorer 7, but I know that I’m running IE 8 or IE 9. What should I do?

You may be running in Compatibility View Mode. To turn it OFF, follow these steps:

  1. click the Tools icon in the menu bar
  2. click on Compatibility View mode in the drop-down list (it’s a toggle switch)

If the checkmark disappears in the menu list, then Compatibility View mode has been shut off and your browser version should now display correctly.
